Meet Scott! When Scott first encountered  working dogs at the airport at the age of 18, he immediately knew he wanted to be a K9 handler. Scott applied himself and started working with detection dogs by 2014 for the Department of Homeland Security. Over time, he has had three different working dogs: two Yellow Labrador Retrievers and one German Shorthaired Pointer.

Over the years Scott has gained knowledge in detection work, obedience training, kennel sanitation and, K9 first aid and care. He has acquired an understanding of dog training through his time working as a handler. Because of what Scott learned he now trains other dogs for the DHS. Now Scott wants to share that insight with others to give back. Just as those who taught him and helped him with his dog training education.

Currently, Scott has a 2.5 year old German Shorthaired Pointer named Toji. She was adopted through a working dog adoption program. Now Toji is enjoying the retired life and being a family pet.
