Iggy, the two-year-old Sheepadoodle from Studio City, California, is back with us for a boarding stay! She has been through multiple board and train programs in the recent past, and this time around our focus will be having fun and enjoying our week together. We will also be taking fun trips around the city and practicing some light training throughout her stay to ensure her skills stay in tip-top shape. Welcome back, Iggy!

Today Iggy and I visited a park after her pickup, and we had a great time exploring, playing, and training around the park. Iggy was very happy to see me again, and as usual did a fantastic job with her commands whether she was on or off leash. She has settled right in at my home, and even got to make a new friend, Zara the Aussiedoodle puppy, who is staying with us for a board and train program this week. They had a blast playing around together!

Today's weather included lots of heavy rain, and even some hail! These conditions weren't the best for outdoor adventuring, so we chose to stay dry and warm by visiting a local Petco. She was very well-behaved while inside the store, and was her usual calm, focused self! She seemed to enjoy her time here, and as always received lots of compliments and attention from shoppers and employees. She also had fun watching the fish and small animals in their enclosures, calmly observing them almost like they were TV for her which was super cute!

Today Iggy and I visited an indoor mall, where she joined me for a nice walk around and some light training exercises. She did a wonderful job inside the mall and was very well-mannered and relaxed. She has also been a very good girl at home as well, and seemed happy that the sun was shining today so we could go on some fun walks around my neighborhood without getting rained on!

Today Iggy and I took a trip to a park, where we had a fun visit! She had some off leash fun where she enjoyed running around in the fields and playing with toys. We also did some light training, and as always she behaved excellently and had no trouble with any of her commands. There were lots of her favorite distraction, squirrels, however she understood not to chase after any of them and ended up being content with sitting near me and calmly watching them from a distance.

Today Iggy and I visited a park, where we met up with some other trainers and their pups! Iggy had a fun time saying hello to everyone, and was overall very well behaved. She was a bit excited at first so she was sometimes a bit silly with her commands, but she settled down quickly and was focused for the majority of our visit. She helped set a great example for the other pups who are beginning their training journeys!

Today Iggy and I visited the Santa Monica Promenade! We took a nice stroll through the area, and did some light training like practicing Heel as we walked and Placing her on various objects. She was very well behaved and of course got lots of compliments during our visit! She was the perfect companion for this trip, and was a pleasure to have alongside me during our visit. She got a bit of extra food during dinner tonight to ensure she maintains her weight with all the exercise we got today.

Today was Iggy's last full day of her boarding stay with me, so we spent our day enjoying our time together and putting her skills to use! She joined Zara, an Aussiedoodle puppy who is staying with me for a board and train program, for a walk around the neighborhood as well. Iggy and Zara have grown very close and love goofing off together in their free time, but have also learned how to effectively contain their excitement and silliness in order to focus on commands when they are asked to! Zara has been learning how to walk in a Heel with another dog alongside her, so Iggy's skill with Heel was a great help in teaching this behavior. Iggy set a great example, and her calm, focused demeanor definitely helped this puppy learn good manners! After training, they of course had their usual fun playtime back at home, and soon tired each other out and settled down for naps together which was super cute!
Once again, Iggy has been a wonderful pup during her stay and I have had a wonderful time with her! She is always such a pleasure to have around, she truly brings a smile to everyone's faces and brightens the days of everyone she encounters. We hope to see you again soon, Iggy!
