Jessie and I spent the day working on getting to know each other. Jessie is definitely a little timid so we took a little extra time getting used to her new environment. Jessie and I worked on her first command which was heel and spent time introducing the e-collar. Jessie definitely struggled in the beginning but was able to learn quickly! She nibbled at her dinner but since you mentioned she was a free roam eater I went ahead and left her kibble in her kennel overnight to see if she’d eat more of it. She settled into her kennel nicely.

Jessie and I worked on her heel and come to sit. She struggled a bit with heel and tends to walk a little further away from me. We’re working on getting her to heel closer to me and listen to leash pressure. She did doing great with the e-collar but is a bit timid when it comes to her come to sit. She will stop short when I ask her to come so we’re working on getting her to come around my back and to my left side. Overall, Jessie is being such a good girl and is settling nicely!

She does struggle with her door manners and wants to rush through any door so we’re working on it. Overall, she is doing amazing and is slowly learning!

Jessie and I spent training today at Petco! She was really overwhelmed by all of the distractions but did her best to follow them. She struggles with her down command in public and seems to lack a lot of confidence. We’re going to work on building her confidence as well as make sure that she has a tighter heel. Overall, she did great.

Merry Christmas! Jessie and I worked on all of her commands today at a local park and around my neighborhood! Jessie and I worked on her loose leash heel today! She was able to end todays training by being able to heel with a dragging leash. There were a couple of times when she would lag behind but quickly caught up when I called her. She is doing a lot better with her down today and was able to hold it for more than a minute. She does get up if she’s feeling nervous but we’re slowly getting her used to more distractions. Jessie ended the day by lounging in my home and spending Christmas with my family and I. She was able to play with a new toy today and loved carrying it around. Overall, she did a great job and we wish you all a Merry Christmas!

Jessie and I worked off leash at a local park to work on more of her place! She was struggling getting up on smaller areas such as benches or even a stool. We worked on building more of her confidence since she spooked easily when the cars passed through water. We went to Petsmart today to work on all of her commands around other dogs and people and she did amazing! Jessie did get a bit wet with the rain today so we made sure to spend some time inside and worked on her manners. She has a peanut butter bone before bed!
